Chandler Brook Preserve, North Yarmouth

QUICK TRAIL FACTS

  • Preserve Size: 65 acres
  • Trail Mileage: ~2 miles in network
  • Pets: yes
  • Difficulty: easy
  • Sights: fields, hemlock forest, Chandler Brook

Chandler Brook is one of Royal River’s main tributaries. At this 65-acre preserve, you can walk along the fast-moving brook and through some lovely fields. There is even a small sandy beach. There are even two high-bush blueberry bushes!

Most of the paths are wide and easy to follow and walk. When we visited the preserve in late July, the trails through the North Field were mown wide and lovely to stroll along.

You might find some wet sections in lowland areas after heavy rains and in the spring.

Directions: The parking area is just north of the railroad bridge on North Road in North Yarmouth (roughly a mile north of Dunn’s Corner and the intersection with Memorial Highway/Rt. 9).

Let me know if you have any trail updates or corrections!
