These truly are “nature trails.” When we hiked in July, 2019, the trails were getting overgrown. Despite this, we found the Piscataquis County Soil and Water Conservation District preserve to be a beautiful and ecologically diverse place to visit. A highlight is the short bogwalk and deck overlooking a marsh. The 1.2-mile loop path takes you along meadows and through a forest.
Directions: Follow Route 16 (Milo Road) until you reach Lee Cemetery Road on your right. The parking lot will be shortly on the right.
