Good Neighbors Park, Cushing

QUICK TRAIL FACTS

  • Preserve Size: 15 acres
  • Trail Mileage: 0.7-mile loop
  • Pets: yes
  • Difficulty: easy
  • Sights: field, Broad Cove

On the day I stopped for a stroll at this town park, several people were out walking their dogs on the lovely, short loop that circumnavigates a seaside field. The path is mown. If you do the whole thing and return via the road, it’s about 0.7 miles.

The park’s name is a tribute to the friendship between two Cushing families. The land was donated by Thelma Dodge, who purchased it to give back to the townspeople.

Directions: The park is off River Road, between Pleasant Point and Killeran roads. There is a parking area and kiosk on the side of the street closest to the water.
