The trail is a wonderful resource for the town. It is a wide, gravel path that is wheelchair accessible in dry conditions. At just under one mile one way, it connects the high school with the elementary school, passing through forest and by many informational nature signs. Every town should have one of these!
The bones are good with this trail! Unfortunately, when I visited in December, 2023, the path was a bit ragged, most likely due to some fierce heavy storms. The northern half of the trail, closer to the elementary school, was in better shape than the lower portion.
Directions: You can start at either the Hermon Elementary School or High School, where there is parking close to the trailhead at both.
