Dundee Park, Windham

QUICK TRAIL FACTS

  • Preserve Size: 20 acres
  • Trail Mileage: .9-mile loop
  • Pets: yes
  • Difficulty: easy
  • Sights: sandy beach, Dundee Pond

This is a little town park at 79 Presumpscot Rd. that is probably packed in the summer but is really quiet and pretty off-season, from October to May. There is a short waterside trail that leads from the park gate to the sandy beach on the Presumpscot River. Then you can walk back along the paved access road. Absolutely no pets allowed during the summer, but when I was here after Oct. 1, people were walking their dogs around.

Directions: From the River Road, turn onto Presumscot Road and follow it to the end, where it turns into Dundee Park Road. During the off season, you can park at the closed gate.

Let me know if you have any trail updates or corrections!
