Leavitt Area High School Trails, Turner

QUICK TRAIL FACTS

  • Preserve Size: Not sure
  • Trail Mileage: 1.3 miles in network
  • Pets: yes
  • Difficulty: easy
  • Sights: woods, x-c ski trails

There’s about 1.3 miles of well-marked trails here. There might be more? I couldn’t quite tell, based on the map at the trailhead. Maine Trail Finder appears to have a pretty accurate map. I parked by the track rather than the baseball fields. I imagine you can’t park here when school is in session. Also, the trails are groomed in the winter for the x-c ski team.

Directions: From the intersection of ME Route 4 (Auburn Road) and ME Route 117, take ME Route 117 (Turner Center Road) east. Follow the road 1.9 miles to Lower Street (just after crossing the Nezinscot River). Turn right onto Lower Street and then left into the school complex. I drove to the end to park near the track.

Let me know if you have any trail updates or corrections!
