Lily Guest Trail, Islesboro

QUICK TRAIL FACTS

  • Preserve Size: Not sure
  • Trail Mileage: 1.2 miles
  • Pets: yes
  • Difficulty: easy to moderate
  • Sights: Gilkeys Harbor, well-crafted bridge and bench

A 0.1-mile path brings hikers to a 1-mile loop trail that winds through forest wetland to pretty views overlooking quiet Jones Cove. The trail can be wet at times, and also rooty. This trail also contains the most graceful and well-crafted trail bridge I’ve ever seen, as well as a matching orange bench.

Directions: From Ferry Road, turn right onto Mill Creek Road. Follow that for about 1.25 miles to the junction with Pendleton Point Road. Turn right onto Pendleton Point Road and go .6 miles to Golf Club Road. Right after you turn into Golf Club Road, the trailhead will be on your left. The trail is marked with a small sign at one corner of the parking area.
