River-Link Trail, Boothbay

QUICK TRAIL FACTS

  • Preserve Size: NA

I love long-distance trails! This trail starts at Zak Preserve on Route 27 and seven miles later, ends at Dodge Point Preserve in Newcastle. Along the way, you’ll walk through Schmid Preserve. It is quiet and peaceful in these woods. There is good info on the path on the Coastal Rivers Conservation trust website.

Directions: From Route 1 northbound, drive through Wiscasset. Soon after driving over the bridge, take a right on Route 27. Go 3.7 miles and take a left on McKay Road. The trailhead is on the left, not too long after your turn.
