By Sam Shirley

Protected by the Loon Echo Land Trust in 2024, this 362-acre conservation area has 2,500 feet of undeveloped shoreline on Sebago Cove (an inlet attached to Sebago Lake) and a 2.1 mile long lollipop loop trail, which opened in October of 2025.

The trail is marked with blue diamonds which have a white circle in the middle. Starting from the parking lot, the trail follows a footpath for a short distance before reaching a woods road. It follows this grassy road until reaching the loop junction, at 0.6 mile. The 0.9-mile loop follows a well-built footpath through the woods and to the shore of Sebago Lake. There are a variety of bridges and shore access points on this section of trail. It is a nice easy loop to hike, and I imagine that it won’t get as busy as many of the other trails around Sebago Lake.

Directions: From Route 11 in Naples, head west on Burnell Road. After 0.1 mile, there will be a driveway on the right leading uphill to a parking lot for the forest.
