This is a 35-acre wooded preserve with 1.1 miles of wide trails on one side (the southern side). Across the street, the 0.3-mile, there-and-back trail is narrower and doesn’t seem like it sees many feet. The land is protected by the Scarborough Land Trust.
Directions: From Route 1, take Broadturn Road for 1 mile. Turn left onto Ash Swamp Road. Continue straight through the intersection at Hearn Road. Look for the Sewell Woods sign and gravel parking lot on the left.
