Tributary Preserve, Kennebunk

QUICK TRAIL FACTS

  • Preserve Size: 50 acres
  • Trail Mileage: 2.2 miles
  • Pets: yes
  • Difficulty: easy to moderate
  • Sights: woods, streams

Tributary Preserve, protected by the Kennebunk Land Trust, offers a gently rolling walk through a light, airy forest of oak, birch, and beech. Lots of little bridges and a boardwalk help keep your feet dry. From the trailhead, you can do a shorter loop of about 0.6 miles, or continue on for a longer loop of about 2 miles in total.

The trail system is close to more conserved lands, including Alewive Woods Preserve, so perhaps there will be a longer walk to be had here one day.

Directions: The large parking area is at the end of Drala Drive, off Alfred Road. When you get to the cul-de-sac, turn right between the two houses on the loop to access the lot.
