East Point Sanctuary, Biddeford

QUICK TRAIL FACTS

  • Preserve Size: 30 acres
  • Trail Mileage: .9 miles in network
  • Pets: no
  • Difficulty: easy
  • Sights: seaside meadow, ocean vistas

East Point Sanctuary is a wonderful open piece of land that juts out into the ocean, with vast views that include an island with a lighthouse. (Wood’s Island.) Dogs aren’t allowed on this Audubon preserve. The walk is about .8 miles one way, if you walk around the point to the end of the path (which wasn’t very clear when I was there in 2016). I stopped when I reached what appeared to be private property.

Directions: Park along Lester B Orcutt Blvd. The entrance to the park is on the left.
