This 0.7-mile Boothbay Region Land Trust trail makes a little wooded loop with views of the Back River. You’ll pass by a small, private cabin, and a pretty frog pond. The trail overlaps at the very end of the loop (or beginning, depending on which way you start) with the cabin’s driveway.
Directions: From Boothbay Harbor go north to the monument in Boothbay Center. Turn left onto Corey Lane. Proceed 0.3 of a mile. Turn right onto Barters Island Road and travel 1.7 miles, crossing a causeway. Turn left onto Sawyers Island Road. Proceed 0.5 miles to the entrance on the left.
