This 70 acre conservation area in Vienna has a small but pleasant trail system. From the trailhead, follow the trail along a babbling brook through mature forest. At 0.2 miles, you’ll reach a “T” intersection with another trail, which is a snowmobile trail in the winter. You can turn left or right here to do an out-and-back in either direction to the property boundaries. Near the north end of the trail is an impressive stand of hemlocks.
Although unmarked, the trails are wide and easy to follow. You can continue past the property boundaries for further exploration, however the trail gets more overgrown as it enters more recently logged areas beyond the property boundaries.
Directions: Take Davis Road north from Route 41 in Vienna. The road will turn to dirt, and you will find the well marked trailhead and parking area 1.7 miles from Route 41.
