Raymond, Cumberland County

QUICK TRAIL FACTS

  • Trail Mileage: ~1.4 miles in network

This is a great little park with wooded trails behind a beautiful bright, sandy beach. From November to March, the park is open to walkers. The rest of the year, you’ll need to pay for a pass.

The name of the park comes from a nickname bestowed on the land by the owners who transferred their beachfront property to the public. Jim Hall, who oversaw the conservation of his family land, in the early 1990s, requested that the park be called Tassel Top in memory of his mother, who is thought to have named it that because the needles of the park’s pine trees look like tassels.

Directions: The park entrance is off Route 302, 0.6 miles south of the intersection with Route 85, and about 4 miles north of the intersection with Route 115.
