Trails in orange are snowshoe only.

Located in New Sharon, Pasture Prime Outdoor Center is a winter trail network which opened to the public in February of 2026.
The trails across pastures and nearby woodlands are open to skis, fat bikes, and snowshoes by donation. At the trailhead is a small parking lot and a large yurt. The yurt is open on the weekends, but the trails are always open for use. When the yurt is open, rental skis and snowshoes are available, along with ski waxing, lessons, and bike repair (yearround by appointment). Because it is an active farm, dogs are not allowed on the trails.
The trails themselves are relatively narrow with a set track, perfect for classic skiing. It seems like there are sometimes skate lanes groomed on the trails that loop around the pastures. All of the trails are quite flat and easy, and it is a perfect place to try skiing for the first time. The trails are also generally well marked with signs. They do regularly post trail condition updates on their Facebook page. One unique feature of the trails is that you can ski right into a cattle pasture on the Happy Orchard Trail. The spot marked on the map as “Cattle Corner” is where the cattle often hang out.
Future plans for the outdoor center include doubling the distance of the current trail network, expanded yurt hours, ice skating, and on-site lodging in cabins. It’s a very enjoyable network of ski trails, and is well worth visiting!
Directions: From the blinking light in the center of New Sharon, head north on Route 134. In less than 0.1 mile, turn left onto Industry Road. In 4.1 miles, the entrance to the parking area will be on your left. This point is also 1.4 miles south of Route 48 in Industry.
