- Trail Mileage: 0.8 miles in network

The one-mile trail system here takes you through a dark, soothing forest of hemlocks and Cathedral Pines (white pines). The red and blue dots refer to the circular blazes of the two loop trails.
According to Wikipedia, the Ocean Park Association in 1887 gave the land to the The Young People’s Social and Literary Guild, which built a footbridge and a pavilion, maybe for reading poetry aloud on! Neither of those structures remain.
Directions: From downtown Saco, go north on US Route 1 and then right onto ME Route 5 (Ocean Park Road). Pass through the “Halfway Intersection” in Old Orchard Beach and continue on Temple Avenue toward Ocean Park. Cross the railroad tracks and one of the trailheads with a small pull out is on your left, right after you pass Manor Street on your right. More parking is available around the corner on Free street.
