Leaving from the Kingfield Gateway parking lot near the center of town, this network of trails mostly passes through fields along the Carrabassett River. The trails are generally wide, following service roads, and mowed grassy paths along field edges. There is one short side trail through floodplain forest along the river.

The trails extend south to the end of the fields, where regular summer maintenance ends. There are some excellent views of the High Peaks from the fields on the southern part of the trail network! The trails also extend a short distance north from the parking lot, ending up behind downtown businesses, and making for an easy connection with the Stanley Avenue Trail. If you cross Route 27 and head up School Street, you can also catch the Kingfield Elementary School Trail from the town park.

From the northern end to the southern end it’s just shy of two miles. The trails are quite poplar with dog walkers, and they make for very easy walking. Wheelchair users can use the sections on gravel and dirt roads. Sections on mowed paths may be trickier, but still doable for many.

Directions: The best place to park and access the trails is from the Kingfield Gateway parking area on Route 27, 0.3 mile south of the center of town.
